NIHILISM

 

MEANING 1: (n.) a point of view that indicates that existence is senseless and all traditional beliefs and values are baseless. 

EXAMPLE SENTENCES:

  2. The psychological studies of the serial killer showed that he had a nihilistic view of the world.

 

MEANING 2: (n.) believing that it is necessary to destroy any existing social or political institutions because of their deplorable condition to make way for constructive programs

MEANING 3: (n.) when capitalized it refers to the 19th century Russian movement that believed in materialism and radical change and scorning authority and tradition using terrorism

  2. My book on the World History has a chapter on Russian Nihilism.
