‘This ear ring is far too long for me’ or ‘This ear ring is far enough long for me’ – which of the two sentences is correct and why?Answered On :2013-06-10 , Asked By : hazratganj1995

The correct answer is ‘this earring is far too long for me’ instead of ‘this earring is far enough long for me’. This is so because ‘too’ is used before adjective or adverb. In the above sentence, ‘too’ should be used before the adjective ‘long’. On the other hand, ‘enough’ is used either before nouns (both countable and uncountable) or after adjectives or adverbs.
